Tawan Daeng is a bar, restaurant and nightclub that mostly pulls in customers interested and/or from the northeast region of Thailand called Isaan. They have a lot of nice shows with singers, dancers and all kinds of interesting entertainment, it’s really a nice place and I frequent Tawan Daeng quite often
The Menu: Their menu has decent choices for both European and Thai dishes, some German sausages, and some Tom Yam Khung with Coconut juices, the most famous Thai dish of all time, giant fresh river prawns in creamy, hot and sour soup made of herbs, it’s a wonderful Thai dish for all, served in a traditional hot pot, goes GREAT with ice cold beer!

The Staff: The staff only spoke Thai when I was there, thank Buddha I can speak in Thai “I want 1 big Heineken please” hehe
The Bathroom: The bathrooms at Tawandang weren’t the greatest

Hi Got Bangkok and users here, I have a question. Away from the sex and drink scene, what places to visit for respectful travelers in Thailand? My friends are thinking of going to Thailand, but we really want to avoid the whole crazy sex and drinking scene. What places can you recommend , we like traveling around countries etc. Also is it safe in Thailand to travel away from the main tourist parts?
FYI there is also an AWESOME Tawandang German Brewery in Raminthra, and it’s big, clean, super nice, has tons of foods and has a VERY nice show every night!
