Nunglen & Escobar Nightclub
Open Daily 8pm – 2am
Website: http://www.nunglen.net
Call: +662 711-6564
Address: 217 Ekamai Rd. North Wattana Sukhumvit 63 BKK
Nunglen is a hip and nice Thai disco in Ekkamai road. It has 2 buildings with a little smoking area outside in the middle area. When you walk in, you must show your drivers license or ID card to get in, so be sure to take it, they seem pretty strict about it. On the left side is the building with the live bands, it’s SUPER loud and gets VERY packed full of mostly thai party people, so packed that it’s very difficult to get back to the bathroom in the back corner, it’s taken me 15 minutes to get back there once, that is when I decided I wont ever go into that part ever again hehe. The girls there are amazing, very gorgeous compared to most other thai discos I’ve been to. The right side building has 2 levels, bottom level has a bar and a DJ, and upstairs has the bathrooms, they are decent but sometimes have to wait in line. While upstairs you can lean over the railings and look down and “people watch” while talking and drinking ice cold beers with your friends.
The Menu:
What I Ate: I didnt eat anything there, only drinking my ice cold corona’s
The Staff: Decent, nothing special but they are always very busy, so sometimes busy people lack the “friendliness feeling”
The Bathroom: There are 2 areas, 1 in each building, they are decent but nothing special, they really should invest in bigger and better bathrooms imho
Conclusion:
Tips: BRING YOUR ID!!!!! and if you would like a table I advise you to get there VERY early, especially on weekends, maybe 8pm you should get there

Thermae Coffee House
Open Daily 9pm – 2am
Website: none
Call: none
Address: Sukhumvit 15, Bangkok Thailand (Downstairs from Buamchitt Hotel)
Thermae is an awesome little place downstairs from Sports bar between Sukhumvit Soi 15 and 17. It’s been around since 1965 so that must tell you something! You sit in a booth and order foods and drinks. This place has a lot of girls, I think are working as freelancers and they are all standing outside of the booths just hanging out with their friends. The food is good and relatively cheap and the beers are ice cold and they have my favorite San Mig Light with lime 🙂
The Menu: They surprised me by having lots of choices to eat, burgers, steaks, sandwiches, and tons of thai foods also
What I Ate: I’ve had the BLT sandwich, the potato chips are nice along with San Mig lights
The Staff: They can speak enough English to get your drink and food order correctly
The Bathroom: You have to go upstairs and a bit outside to use the bathroom, it’s an open bathroom with ants and bugs all over, girls doing makup, near the kitchen area, and they charge approx 5 baht per usage, the bathrooms actually suck really badly, but you can do what you have to do then wash your hands hehe

Scoozi Pizzeria is a great wood-fired oven pizza in Bangkok. This from their own words: “Our pizza is baked in a wood-fired oven, recipe from Napoli, Italy. We use only high quality ingredients imported from overseas.” They sold me! hehe
The Menu: Scoozi has tons of italian dishes, pizza, ravioli, lasagna and many other pasta dishes, and also soups and salads and a small section of Thai foods too. Their specialty pizza consists of: Salmone, Prosciutto di parma, margherita, vegetariana, tonnara (tuna), frutti di mare (seafood), salsiccia, carbonara, diavola, capricciosa. They of course have the typical mushroom, ham, sausage, pepperoni etc topping pizza’s too. Don’t forget to try their Italian desserts imported from Italy, like tiramisu, nut tarts, panna cotta and many more.
What I Ate: I ordered the classic lasagna and the salmon ravioli, both were wonderful and I’ll definately go back there for more. One thing I don’t like is there is no garlic bread.
The Staff: The waitresses seemed very friendly but didnt speak English, but was still cute and in good spirit
The Bathroom: This Scoozi location is inside the Esplanade shopping center, they have a hand washing area but for actual toilets you’ll need to use the Esplanade public bathrooms.

The Menu: Texas Suki most compares to MK Restaurant, they have all the meats, seafoods, veggies you can put into the hotpot and also you can get the honey roasted duck and pork, many salads, sukiyaki, dim sum, noodles, soups like the famous thai tom yum ghung, spring rolls, bbq sticks, desserts like ice in syrup, and other fresh ingredients. I was very happy about the menu, it had a ton of great dishes to choose from.
What I Ate: I ordered raw salmon suki and shrimp suki, and also gyoza, both were great, especially dipping in their barbeque sauce stuff with garlic and chili’s, it was delicious!
The Staff: The staff at Texas Suki were very friendly, but couldn’t speak English, but there is nothing wrong with pointing at what you want to get the communication rolling, all worked out just fine 🙂
The Bathroom: The toilets here were just fine as you can see in the pictures below, for Bangkok standard they were above average
