I visited California WOW Esplanade today May 5th, and they are now closed for good.
Last week I was urged to pay my yearly renewal fee of 2888 baht. This is totally unfair since they closed only a week later. Does anyone know where and when they are giving our refunds?
Their paper reads:
Attention: All members
It is with our deepest regret that we can no longer continue to keep the CAWOW Esplanade club operational.
Effective May 10th, 2013 the club will be closed for workouts. We would like to thank all members for your loyalty throughout our difficult situation.
We hope that CAWOW has mad ea positive difference in your life and that you have become passionate about maintaining a consistent exercise program.
Any members that have shoe lockers can remove their belongings before May 10th. After this date, the company reserves the right to process all belongings in a safe appropriate manner.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 02-791 0000.
Kind regards,
CAWOW Management
I will be calling them soon asking for details about refunds, and will post any information that I find here.

Purr Cat Cafe Club is a very new cafe in Bangkok, opened only about 4 months ago (November, 2012). It is a really nice place to chill out and relax, have some treats and coffee while watching and playing with some adorable cats.
The Menu: You can get a variation of drinks, soft drinks, hot tea, coffee and some shakes. To eat there is tuna salad and also lots of cakes, scones, muffins, and ice cream.
What I Ate: We ate the tuna salad, soft chocolate cake, and the chocolate brownies with ice cream. It was all delicious!
The Staff: The staff was very nice. I spoke with a couple of the ladies there and they were very friendly and they really seem to enjoy and love the cats there. Is so nice to see a place where all of us animal lovers can enjoy the company of many beautiful cats together.

If you are into gaming and would like anything gamer related from toys to consoles (new and old) to games etc, I highly suggest Love Game Shop. The owner there knows what he’s doing, very experienced and friendly. You can find a lot of old and RARE game consoles like Family Computer (Famicom), Super Famicom, Megadrive, PC Engine, Neogeo, Gameboy, Nintendo old and new, Sega, Atari, Playstation 1, 2, and 3 and many many more.
What Did I Buy: I bought the old japanese (original) version of Nintendo, it’s called Family Computer (aka Famicom). It was 3000 baht, also I bought a factory sealed Super Tecmo Football, that was a big expensive at 1000 baht. They have many other games I bought for cheap, they were 66 games in 1 cartridge, including Super Mario Bros, Super Contra (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start), and many more!

Website: Currently no website.
Call: 022536265
Address: Shop No. 121, Next to Soi 7, Sukhumvit Road, (opposite First Pacific Place), Bangkok 10110, Thailand
New Bukhara’s was a really small and nice little restaurant in the heart of Sukhuvmit road in Bangkok. The staff was friendly, the place was nice and clean, bathrooms small but clean and the food really was great. I will be visiting there again soon.
The Menu: The menu has pretty much every category of indian cuisine you can think of.
What I Ate: As always when I eat at any indian restaurant I order the chicken tikka masala. This place might have the best tasting masala sauce I’ve had in Thailand! And I eat a LOT of chicken masala.

Address: Ambassador Hotel (basement floor), Sukhumvit Soi 11, Bangkok 10120, Thailand
Climax is a great place to hangout super late when out partying in Bangkok. This nightclub has live performances every night, and in between those live acts they have DJs spinning some popular dance and hip hop music.
Entry fee is 200-300 baht (can somebody confirm? I was drunk and don’t remember the exact price) but you get a free drink ticket with that price. Last time I went to climax they were giving free shots of whiskey right as you enter the club!
The Menu: Climax has everything from Johnny Walker Red, to Black, to vodka, tequila, and many beers, San Miguel Lights, Singha, Chang, and many more. Mixed drinks are available too.
What I Drink: I usually get San Mig Lights, they are approx 120 baht per beer.

Thai government and people are furious over this recent Saturday Night Live skit about Rosetta Stone Thai. After watching this YouTube video you can see why.
My personal opinion, I did laugh and think it was a pretty funny and well-played skit, but at the same time I could totally understand why the people of Thai would be furious, disappointed, and angry about it. But, I was also born and raised with freedom of speech, so I think the video should be left alone, but can’t blame the Thai government for attempting to get the video removed.
