The Menu: Has some great American breakfast choices, pancakes, a VERY delicious egg and cheese sandwich (I get it a lot!), lots of soups, southern USA foods, gumbo and jambalaya, probably the best Nawlins’ food in Bangkok, by far!!!
The Staff: Very friendly and most speak English just fine, so no worries there

The Menu: Of course the menu is filled with great seafoods, and you can even choose your own crabs and some fishes. One of my favorite dishes is the raw shrimps in a lemon sauce with spicy seafood sauce. The menu has pictures too so that helps out quite a bit, just point to what you want
What I Ate: I ordered the raw shrimp in lemon sauce with garlic and spicy seafood sauce (goong minnao pet pet) and also fried shrimp with a honey-style dipping sauce. Afterwards had the fresh mango with sticky rice, that is SO delicious. I am always very satisfied with all the foods at Kuang Seafood
The Staff: They aren’t very English saavy but usually they can get the job done, just point to the pictures of what you want on the menu.
The Bathroom: The bathrooms here are typical Thai style restrooms, make sure you only use it for “#1” and they have decent sinks too

Conclusion: This is one of my favorite local restaurants in the Ratchada area, I frequent Kuang Seafood (Kwang Seafood) about once or twice a week. See you there!!! And I love that it’s open so late!!

Sakura

The Menu: The Sakura menu has all the best japanese foods you can imagine, japanese steaks and salmons with very tasty sauces, tons of different sushi rolls and temaki, even some more exotic stuff like eel and more!
What I Ate: I had the california urimaki (roll) and also the salmon pepper steak, both are delicious as always! VERY arroy mak mak!
The Staff: Very friendly and cute waitresses at most Sakura restaurants, but I’ve never encountered a Sakura staff member that can speak English
The Bathroom: I actually havent seen a bathroom (hongnam) inside Sakura Robinsons, but you need to walk outside and use the Robinsons Mall public bathrooms

Conclusion:

Extras: Sakura does have a membership / VIP card, so if you eat there a lot, I’d highly suggest getting the card, it’s 200 baht, and you get 10% discount when paying cash, and 5% discount when paying with credit card, and it’s usually valid for 1 year after your purchase

Maxi’s Pizzeria Café & Restaurant

Maxi’s Pizzeria Café & Restaurant

Website: http://www.maxis-pizzeria.com
Call: 02 689-5176
Address: 161 Ratchada Rd., Dindaeng, Bangkok 10400

Summary: I was walking across Ratchada road soi 10 today when I saw the Maxi’s Pizzeria Cafe & Restaurant, it’s located off Ratchadapisek Soi 7 in between Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) and the Mini R Hotel Ratchada. My friend and I go inside, it’s a very new and clean looking place.

The Menu: It consists of about 20 different style’s and toppings of pizza’s, and quite a few other things, steaks, spaghetti, pasta, calzones, thai foods, salads, soups, and TONS of different coffee’s, iced coffee, and smoothies.
What I Ate: I ate the Pepperoni pizza and side of french fries, both were very tasty, the pizza was too big I couldn’t finish it, and they gave me a big plate of fries, also too much food to eat it all, thumbs up for that!
The Staff: They were very nice, friendly and professional, the manager or owner even greeted us after our meal which we appreciated.
The Bathroom: I think a restraunt bathroom shows a lot about cleanliness of restaurants, and this place was great, very clean, I would feel very comfortable using the bathroom here for ANY needs I may have 🙂

Conclusion: I would definately recommend this nice restaurant to friends of mine, and to all my readers, and I will surely visit this place again.

Extras: Free complimentary Wifi available for Maxi’s Pizzeria and Mini R Hotel customers
Delivery available

2nd visit

What I Ate: I had the spaghetti bolognese, with some garlic bread, both were great, I’ll definately order it again 🙂
3rd visit

What I Ate: Had the lasagna, probably the worst lasagna I’ve had in my life, very runny and bland, I would NEVER suggest to anyone to order the lasagna at Maxi’s Pizzeria, the garlic bread is great though. I’ve had 200 pieces of lasagna in my life, this is BY FAR the worst, even my friend tried it and agreed it was not tasty at all.

Summary: Wandering down Bangkok Sukhumvit road I wandered into Soi 5 (near Nana BTS Station) and about a 3 minute walk down Soi 5 I ran into Gullivers Bangkok. It is a big place with a LOT of seating outside which gives your eating experience a nice ambience.

The Menu: It has pretty much everything you could wish for!!! Western Breakfasts, soups, salads, English pies, pasta, grilled fishes and steaks, sandwiches, seafoods, thai foods, and MANY more!
What I Ate: I chose the Paneang Moo (pork paneang) and the Ostrich steak, both were very very delicious and I ate every single piece on my plate!!!
The Staff: The staff at Gullivers was normal, about average I would say, and they speak English quite well there, probably a requirement because the vast majority of customers there are farangs.
The Bathroom: They are very nice, BIG, and clean 🙂

Conclusion: XXXXXXX
