Sunrise Tacos

The Menu: The menu at Sunrise Tacos in Bangkok is awesome if you are a mexican food lover, they have all the basic (americanized) mexican dishes, like tacos of course, nachos, chicken tortilla soups, chicken wings, and you can even build your own tacos. They have monster burritos, fajitas, quesadillas, and enchiladas too, with some great guacamole dips, and for salsa they have tons, which I personally LOVE! Tomato (mild), Sunrise Salsa (medium), Much Mango (medium), Lalo’s Hot and Sweet (medium), John’s Hot (hot), John’s Super Hot (hottest) gotta love that hot hot stuff! For drinks they have margarita’s, all kinds of beers including Corona and Salitos (tequila beer)
What I Ate: I had the build-your-own-tacos, with carnitas (pork), cheese, guacamole, onions, lettuce and tomatoes, and I now order this same dish about once/week haha, you can say I’m kind of addicted
The Staff: The staff was very friendly and speaks English very well, I’ve noticed there have even been some filipinas that were waitresses there
The Bathroom: The Sukhumvit Sunrise Tacos does not have a bathroom unfortunately

Conclusion:

Extras: Sunrise Tacos is 1 of the few places in Bangkok that have 24 hour delivery, that is so great for us that work the night shifts especially

Barbq Plaza (BBQ Plaza)

December 8, 2009

Barbq Plaza or BBQ Plaza
“Official restaurant of Bar B Gon”
Open Daily 10:00am – 10:00pm
website: http://www.barbqplaza.com/bbq.html
Call: 0-2954-1333
Address: Robinsons Ratchada, ground floor near MK Restaurant. All BBQ Plaza branches listed here

Bar-B-Q Plaza is my absolute favorite fire place Yakiniku and Shabu Shabu restaurant in the world, it’s a chain restaurant so you can find them all over Thailand, TONS are in Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Khon Kaen, and everywhere, so you have a great advantage if you fall in love with BBQ Plaza as I have

The Menu: The menu is filled with fresh sliced meats, such as chicken, pork tenderloin, ham, beef, bacon, seafoods such as fresh shrimp, mahi-mahi, squid, and many others, veggies such as baby corn, lettuce, noodles and you can get other dishes like gyoza, fried bacon with a tasty sauce, and pork neck with a spicy sauce which is delicious! I can go on for days! Please just visit and find out for yourself, I have absolutely nothing to benefit by saying all this stuff, it’s truly my fav!
What I Ate: I usually get a little of everything I mentioned above, and I mix and match those, all are my favorites hehe, best foods in Thai!
The Staff: The staff is always very friendly and helpful, but never can speak English, so you’ll have to use your point finger to point at the things you want hehe
The Bathroom: Usually they have outside bathrooms that you’ll need to use since most BBQ Plaza’s are inside shopping malls and shopping centers

Conclusion:
Barbq Plaza is the best! It has fresh meat and veggies and the sauce is fantastic, you can mix in as much garlic and chili’s as you want, and their restaurants are located just about everywhere in Thailand. It’s easily my personal favorite restaurant in all of Thai 🙂

Extras: If you often go to Bar-B-Q Plaza then be sure to pay the 100 baht to get the VIP discount card, you save 10% on all cash bills, or 5% on all credit card bills, and they expire 1 year after the day you purchase it. Also, if you use that card enough and gain enough points, you can get a free Bar B Gon stuffed toy

charley browns bkk

Simply Bangkok’s oldest and most authentic Tex-Mex restaurant. Our friendly, helpful staff has been providing mouth-watering food to expats and tourists alike for over 15 years. We pride ourselves on our home-made tortillas, tacos and corn-chips and, of course, the freshest margaritas in town. Charley Browns has a nice atmosphere and a great location to start off for dinner before hitting the nightlife of the famous Sukhumvit Soi 11 nightclubs

The Menu: The menu at Charley Browns mostly consists of mexican foods, but also is well equipped with some burgers, and a nice selection of thai foods also. From the towering Nachos Supreme and the stuffed Tacos to the sizzling Fajitas and succulent Quesadillas, Charley Brown’s brings the best of the West to Bangkok. Using the freshest ingredients, they make every dish to order. And for those hard to find ingredients, they import Australian beef and New Zealand avocados. They even have a kids’ menu, low-calorie dishes and plenty of vegetarian options.
What I Ate: I enjoyed the beef tacos with guacamole dip, they were great!
The Staff: The waitresses were very friendly and spoke great English
The Bathroom: There is a guys, and girls toilet, only 1 person allowed at a time, when I tried to use the bathroom it was occupied, so I couldn’t see the toilet here

Bullys Pub review. Bullys is a great place to start your night with friends for dinner and drinks in the Sukhumvit soi Nana area. There are quite a lot of bars, pubs and restaurants nearby. As for Bullys you’ll find great western food and even some Thai specialties. They have a WIDE variety of local and imported beers, including one of the favorites Hoegaarden in pint size!

The Menu: Bully’s menu is jam packed full of awesome western dishes, lots of American and English foods, as well as tons of Thai dishes too
What I Ate:I had the grilled salmon, it was drenched in a white gravy sauce and topped with shrimps too, it was delicious, it comes with salad, choice of potatoes and some veggies too, I was very happy with the meal and will enjoy the food there again very soon
The Staff: The staff at Bullys is very nice, smiling and all that I’ve spoken with speak very good English
The Bathroom: The bathrooms here are kept very nice and clean

Drugged and robbed by 2 ladyboys

December 6, 2009

Thailand never ceases to amaze me! This time I was drugged, had all 4 of my jeans pockets sliced open with scissors (or a knife) to easily remove everything in them, including my cell phone, digital camera and over 20,000 Thai baht

I’ve always heard to be careful around ladyboys and that they are more capable of shit like this, but now it’s become reality, changing my simcard/phone etc and have to start building up all the info/contacts shit again.

I’ve done some research and by the sounds of this “Rohypnol” I think that is what is used, because of the extreme “hangover” feeling I had afterwards.

Just a tip to you partying in Thailand, and anywhere for that matter, BE CAREFUL, and remember that there’s always more of a chance things like this will happen when you are out alone, and drinking too much.
